ING updates on share buyback progress with over 11 million shares repurchased

ING has provided an update on its ongoing €2.0 billion share buyback programme, which was initially announced on October 31, 2024. Over the course of the week from November 4 to November 8, 2024, a total of 7,704,055 shares were repurchased by the company.

The shares were acquired at an average price of €15.35 each, amounting to a total expenditure of €118,240,205.76. The initiative aims to reduce ING's share capital through these buybacks.

As of now, ING has repurchased a cumulative total of 11,720,329 ordinary shares under this programme. These shares were bought at an average price of €15.45 per share for a total cost of €181,038,327.77. This represents approximately 9.05% completion of the maximum total value set for the share buyback programme.
