ANZ has announced an extension of its support package for small business and home loan customers in Victoria affected by the recent COVID-19 lockdown. The package includes various forms of financial relief for those impacted.

Home loan customers who apply can receive short-term payment relief, have fees waived, restructure their home loan debt, or switch to a fixed-rate loan. Business customers are also eligible for short-term payment relief on asset finance or business loans. Additionally, they can receive refunds on merchant terminal fees and have some other fees waived.

Furthermore, business customers may benefit from loans provided through the Federal Government’s SME Loan Recovery Scheme. This scheme offers eligible businesses discounted interest rates on loans up to $5 million.

Mark Hand, ANZ’s Group Executive Australia Retail and Commercial Banking, stated: “We all know that this latest lockdown in Victoria will be a major blow to many of our retail and business customers.” He added, “We want our customers to feel supported in these difficult times and we’ve increased our resources so that people seeking assistance will find the helping hand they need. Many Victorians have shown great resolve during this crisis and our people are here to help them through the next stage.”
