Changpeng Zhao, founder of Giggle Academy, announced the launch of its closed beta phase with 2,400 invitations sent and a few hundred testers currently participating. The announcement was made in an October 31 post on X.

Giggle Academy is an online educational platform designed to provide free, accessible, and adaptive education to children in underprivileged regions around the world. According to the concept paper by Giggle Academy, the platform focuses on children who do not have access to traditional schooling, particularly in areas such as South Asia, West Asia, and sub-Saharan Africa. It offers grade 1-12 content across subjects such as math, science, programming, finance, emotional intelligence, and more. The platform uses an online model that allows for scalable, personalized learning, providing students with educational tools tailored to their individual strengths and needs.

The mission of Giggle Academy is to provide high-quality education free of charge, ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent access to learning. Through its online and automated system, Giggle Academy delivers individualized learning experiences while offering a gamified environment that includes badges, progress levels, and rankings to engage learners. The concept paper states that the platform incorporates blockchain technology for transparent achievement tracking and certification that can be verified by employers. Giggle Academy aims to foster a sense of community by facilitating peer support and mentorship.
