ANZ has announced the appointment of Natalie Smith as General Manager, Retail Broker. She will report to ANZ Managing Director Retail, Katherine Bray, and will be responsible for building and transforming ANZ's retail broker business.

Natalie Smith is currently the Head of ANZ’s Commercial Bank Transformation and is recognized for her ability to manage large complex programs with a focus on customer and banker experience.

Katherine Bray commented on Natalie's appointment: “Natalie has outstanding leadership skills coupled with a deep understanding of the power of using customer relationships and data to help drive growth. There is no doubt she will be a terrific addition to both ANZ’s Retail and Broker business, and quickly establish herself in the country’s burgeoning broker industry.”

With over 25 years in the banking sector, Natalie Smith has played a significant role in developing the bank's specialized industry model for businesses in Australia's health sector. Her experience includes working with institutional to small and medium-sized businesses.

She also served on ministerial advisory bodies such as the Aged Care Financing Authority. Before joining ANZ, she held senior roles at National Australia Bank and ABN AMRO Bank in both Australia and the United States.

Natalie Smith is based in Melbourne and will begin her new role in late February.
