Morgan Stanley has opened a new office in Mumbai, situated at Commerz III, International Business Park within Oberoi Garden City in Goregaon. The facility will centralize the company's Global Center operations in Mumbai, accommodating over 8,500 employees within its one million square foot area. This move is intended to foster a modern and collaborative work environment enhanced by advanced technology and sustainable solutions.
Gokul Laroia, Morgan Stanley's Asia CEO & Co-Head of Global Equities, emphasized India's significance to the firm's regional and global strategy. "India’s economic growth, technological innovation, and demographic advantage make it an integral part of the Firm’s regional and global strategy," he stated. He also noted that their investment in real estate with top-tier infrastructure reflects Morgan Stanley's ongoing commitment to India.
Arun Kohli, Country Head for India at Morgan Stanley, remarked on the evolution of their operations since establishing their first Global Center in India over two decades ago. "The centers are critical to creating operational efficiencies and competitiveness for the Firm," Kohli said.
The inauguration was attended by Mandell Crawley, Chief Human Resources Officer based in New York, and Anahita Tiwari, Head of India Global Centers at Morgan Stanley. Tiwari highlighted the benefits of the new campus: “The new Mumbai Commerz III campus provides a curated and seamless experience for our people.”
The campus includes various amenities such as food halls with diverse options, an onsite fitness center and gym, health services including a pharmacy and acute care services. It also features spaces dedicated to inclusion like a full-service childcare center for children aged six months to six years.
In line with sustainability goals, the office aims for LEED Gold rating and FITWEL certification through measures like energy-efficient lighting and reduced water consumption.
