ANZ's Institutional business has been recognized as the Best Bank for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Sustainable Finance in the annual Australian Corporate Treasury Association (ACTA) awards. This accolade is based on a large corporate relationship banking study conducted by Peter Lee Associates.

Tammy Medard, ANZ Managing Director of Institutional Australia, stated: "ANZ’s expertise in ESG and sustainability demonstrates our leadership in supporting customers as they embrace opportunities in the transition to net-zero." She added that this achievement reflects the commitment and skill of their team, as well as the trust customers place in ANZ to help them achieve their ESG goals.

Katharine Tapley, ANZ Head of Sustainable Finance, remarked: "Peter Lee’s acknowledgement cements our position as a leading environmental sustainability bank in the region, supporting customers as they embrace opportunities in the transition to net zero emissions." Tapley noted that ANZ experienced record growth last financial year with 81 deals totaling approximately $119 billion across various currencies globally.

ANZ's sustainable finance team operates internationally with technical sustainability expertise across diverse banking products and industry sectors. The team is active in regions including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, and London.

Additionally, ANZ has recently partnered with Pollination, an ESG investment and advisory firm. This collaboration aims to enhance expertise and solutions available for clients transitioning towards net-zero emissions.
