ANZ Institutional has maintained its top position for overall relationship quality in Asia for the fifth consecutive year, as reported by the 2022 Coalition Greenwich Asian Large Corporate Banking study. This independent annual study interviewed approximately 920 companies across Asia with annual revenues around US$500 million.
In addition to this achievement, ANZ received several Coalition Greenwich awards, including being named the Overall Relationship Quality Leader in both Hong Kong and China for the fifth consecutive year. The bank was also recognized as number one for 'Ease of Doing Business,' 'Provision of Advice,' and 'Ability to Streamline KYC Processes.'
Simon Ireland, ANZ Managing Director, International, commented on these achievements: “To be recognised by our Institutional customers for our quality support is a huge coup and testament to our strategy of developing meaningful relationships with our customers who are looking to move goods and capital around the region and into our home markets of Australia and New Zealand."
He further noted that customer preferences in Asia continue to evolve rapidly, particularly due to the pandemic. "These strong results show us we’re focusing in the right areas while indicating where to invest to grow our business,” said Mr Ireland.
The 2021 Coalition Greenwich Asian Large Corporate Banking study assessed banks' relationship quality based on various factors such as ease of doing business, willingness to lend, provision of ideas and advice, and understanding clients’ international and transaction banking needs.
