ANZ has announced a range of new and enhanced features for its ANZ Plus product. These include BPAY, Pay to a PayID, and instant access to a digital card. A notable addition is the Visa dynamic CVV, which provides an extra layer of fraud protection by updating the card verification value every 12 hours within the app.
The updated ANZ Plus functionality now includes several key features:
- BPAY allows bill payments through a service accepted by over 45,000 billers.
- PayID enables payments to be sent using identifiers such as mobile numbers or email addresses.
- Customers can add their digital card to Apple Wallet immediately upon joining.
- The dynamic CVV offers a secure alternative to the static three-digit number on payment cards.
- Users can dispute transactions via a self-service option.
- The age requirement to join has been reduced to 15 years, encouraging younger users to manage finances early.
- Cardless cash allows secure ATM withdrawals without a physical card.
Peter Dalton, Managing Director of Design and Delivery ANZx at ANZ, stated: “We’re continually upgrading and improving the experience for our ANZ Plus customers, with our most requested features now delivered and many more on the way."
He added that their enhanced retail banking platform "is allowing us to respond quickly to customer feedback and rapidly deliver new features."
