ANZ Bank has announced its role as a mandated lead arranger, sustainability coordinator, and lender in Geely Automobile's first sustainable loan. The three-year loan, totaling $400 million, involves participation from six other foreign banks. The funds will be directed towards the advancement of Geely's new energy vehicle technology, model research and development, and production.

This financing marks the first under Geely Automobile's Sustainable Finance Framework released in May. The framework provides guidance for future issuance of green, social, and sustainable bonds and loans.

Wu Xun, General Manager of ANZ China's Corporate Finance Department, stated: "In the context of achieving 'dual carbon' goals, we are honored to collaborate with Geely Automobile on their first financing under the Sustainable Finance Framework to achieve sustainable development goals. In this cooperation, ANZ utilized its leading experience in sustainable finance globally to provide financial consulting and services for transformation across supply chain, manufacturing, and usage ends."
