ANZ has announced a financial support package for customers and businesses in Western Australia affected by Tropical Cyclone Ilsa. The package includes immediate financial support measures for ANZ retail and business customers impacted by the cyclone.

The support measures offer short-term payment relief on home loans, credit cards, personal loans, and some business loans, though interest may still be charged during this period. Additionally, ANZ is waiving fees for restructuring business loans and accessing term deposits early.

Kathleen Jahour, ANZ General Manager Western Australia, stated: “We are thinking of those impacted by Tropical Cyclone Ilsa overnight and over the coming days. We have specialist staff available to discuss how we can support our customers during this time, including short-term payment relief on a range of products, such as home loans and some business loans."

Jahour also mentioned that their Port Hedland branch is open with dedicated staff ready to assist the community.

Affected ANZ customers can reach out to the bank's dedicated financial hardship team at 1800 149 549 or visit anz.com.au/support/natural-disaster-support/. Customers may also visit their local branch if possible or contact their relationship manager to discuss impacts on their business or personal circumstances.

Customers with ANZ Home and Contents Insurance might qualify for emergency funds and temporary accommodation. To file an insurance claim, they can call 13 16 14 or visit anz.com/insuranceclaims.

This initiative follows previous financial support announced by ANZ in January for flood-affected customers in the Kimberley region.
