The Global Sovereign Debt Roundtable (GSDR) convened today in Washington, DC, to evaluate progress on enhancing debt restructuring processes and timelines. The discussions also focused on identifying priority areas for future work aimed at addressing debt vulnerabilities.

The meeting was attended by representatives from debtor countries, as well as official and private creditors. The goal of the GSDR is to foster a shared understanding among these key stakeholders regarding the challenges of debt sustainability and restructuring.

Following the meeting, Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund; Ajay Banga, President of the World Bank Group; and Fernando Haddad, Finance Minister of Brazil—who serve as co-chairs of the GSDR—released the "GSDR 3rd Cochairs Report" along with a compilation of technical issues discussed during previous meetings.
