Uber Technologies, Inc. is introducing new features that empower drivers to manage their interactions with riders more effectively.
The updates include a system for handling disrespectful riders and enhanced deactivation review processes to prevent unfair actions against drivers.
“On Uber, respect is a two-way street,” said Sachin Kansal, Vice President of Product Management at Uber. “If you have a negative experience with a rider, you now have more control over your future interactions.”
Drivers can now block riders who have been marked as disrespectful, ensuring they won’t be paired with those riders in the future. Uber is also improving its deactivation review process, allowing drivers to submit evidence, such as video or audio recordings, before any deactivation decision is made.
These measures are designed to create a fairer platform and provide drivers with more control over their work environment.
