Among the newly promoted Managing Directors is Masoud Sharif, who serves as Co-Head of PM Analytics in the Newport Beach office. Prior to joining PIMCO, Sharif held roles at Barclays Capital and Boston University, bringing 17 years of investment experience to his new position.
Also promoted to Managing Director is Marco van Akkeren, who co-leads PM Analytics in the Newport Beach office. With a background in fixed income strategies at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, van Akkeren boasts 23 years of investment experience and holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
Nick Mosich joins the ranks of Managing Directors as the deputy general counsel at the Newport Beach office. Leading PIMCO's alternatives legal team, Mosich brings 17 years of legal experience, including roles at Latham & Watkins LLP and clerking for a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit. He holds a J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law.
