Harika Eldoğan, the Marketing Director of Binance Turkey, has stated that Binance is working diligently to "expand the crypto ecosystem in Turkey" and bolster women's education and development within the industry. This statement was made public in an April 5 post on Binance's website.

"We are working to expand the crypto ecosystem in Turkey," said Eldoğan, according to Binance. "Especially for us, it is very important to include young people and women in this ecosystem. We support women in evaluating new opportunities in their journey towards financial freedom and supporting their development in these areas."

As per the post, Binance has broadened its 'Binance Women in Technology Academy' program. The initiative, developed in partnership with the Women in Technology Association (WTech), now includes women from regions of Turkey affected by the February 2023 earthquake. On March 26 and 27, eighty young women from Hatay attended educational training sessions covering topics such as cybersecurity, blockchain technology, and financial literacy. Upon completion of the course, these women were awarded certificates. In addition to this, Binance provided 270 Ramadan meal packages to families residing in areas impacted by the earthquake. The Academy was initially launched in January 2024 and has recently concluded its first eight-week pilot program.

Dönmez, General Manager of Binance Turkey, said during the closing ceremony of the March training sessions: "Here at Binance Turkey, we have taken important steps to show our support for earthquake victims." He added that "Binance donated $100 worth of BNB to each of its users in the earthquake-affected areas of the country. Additionally, donations collected through Binance Charity were sent to the Turkish Red Crescent to support earthquake victims, and steel houses were built through our donation to AHBAP and opened for use as schools."

Zehra Öney, Founding Chair of WTech stated during the ceremony: "As WTech, our main goal has always been to train expert and competent individuals in the field of technology and to carry out focused efforts to increase the number of women in the workplace, production processes, and entrepreneurship." She further mentioned that "There was a very high interest in this program. With this program, we made a good start in training strong qualified women leaders who will fill the gap in Turkey and beyond."

Eldoğan joined Binance Turkey in August 2022, as indicated by her LinkedIn profile. Prior to her tenure at Binance, she held positions as Head of Communications for Hepsiburada and Senior Communications Manager for HSBC. She is an alumnus of Istanbul University and Cornell University.
