Cvent, a leading event marketing and management platform, has recently acquired Jifflenow and iCapture to enhance trade show experiences with improved lead capture and scheduling capabilities.

The acquisitions were announced in a news release on Jan. 12. The company emphasized the need for businesses to have the capabilities provided by Jifflenow and iCapture, especially with the resurgence of in-person events. These tools are crucial for successful experiences in capturing information and scheduling meetings after business conferences.

Reggie Aggarwal, CEO and founder of Cvent, said, "Over the past nearly 25 years, we’ve helped power global meetings and events programs, and these acquisitions highlight our continued commitment to innovation and delivering the best-in-class solutions our customers need to drive their businesses forward. We’ve known and respected Hari [Shetty] and Brady [Roberts] since the inception of both Jifflenow and iCapture, and we are extremely excited to welcome their teams to Cvent."

Jifflenow is a cloud-based meeting automation platform that assists marketing and sales teams in booking meetings and securing session sign-ups through digital campaigns. In April 2023, Jifflenow partnered with Cvent for the launch of Marketplace, a Cvent App.

Hari Shetty, CEO and founder of Jifflenow, expressed his team's excitement about joining Cvent: "Last year, we unveiled an expanded partnership and integration with Cvent, and today’s announcement is an exciting evolution of our relationship. It takes a highly committed team to reach the level of success that we have achieved, and we’re excited to leverage Cvent’s global scale, research and development resources, and robust partner ecosystem to continue innovating."

iCapture has been operating for over 20 years. It began out of frustration over difficulties reading scribbled names and contact information after trade shows. Over time it developed a system for businesses to capture leads and expanded its capabilities to include performance measurement from event to event, as well as qualifying leads obtained at each event. The system supports custom branding, badge scanning, business cards, and even attendee list capture.

Brady Roberts, president and co-founder of iCapture, commented on the acquisition: "Trade shows and conferences offer some of the highest quality engagements sales teams will encounter, and iCapture was founded nearly 12 years ago with a single goal in mind: helping organizations capture those engagements and turn them into revenue-generating opportunities. With organizations investing more in trade shows to reconnect with customers and prospects, now’s a great time to join the Cvent team."
