Binance Academy, the Web3 learning hub of the largest crypto exchange in the world, has partnered with the Blockchain Center, an independent non-profit research lab, with the aim of educating over one million students in blockchain engineering and compliance by 2026. This partnership is an expansion of the Global University Outreach Program.

According to a Binance blog post, the Global University Outreach Program initially started in 22 universities in Kazakhstan. Through this new partnership, the program will expand to more than 200 universities in over 50 countries. Binance Academy and the Blockchain Center will provide specialized training to more than 300 university educators to support the initiative's growth.

The education program will consist of a 20-week Blockchain Engineering program and a 13-week Compliance program. The engineering program will offer students a comprehensive understanding of blockchain development and insights into digital assets. The compliance program will focus on analyzing the different regulatory regimes worldwide and the associated legal challenges. Students will also develop a forward-looking perspective on potential modes of digital asset regulation for the future.

Aidana Kaskyrbek, CEO and founder of the Blockchain Center, expressed pride in the program, stating that it will create opportunities for aspiring professionals and innovators in the blockchain space. She emphasized the goal of facilitating the adoption of blockchain technology by fostering the growth of human capital in the industry.

Binance Co-founder Yi He emphasized the importance of blockchain education in driving transformation within the rapidly evolving ecosystem of digital finance. She believes that this partnership will enable Binance Academy and the Blockchain Center to cultivate a new generation of skilled individuals who will drive the industry forward and ignite innovation.

The success of the program's initial launch in Kazakhstan motivated the decision to expand it globally. Since its inception in December 2022, more than 4,000 students in Kazakhstani universities have started studying blockchain engineering and compliance.
