Antibodies and life science solutions company Proteintech, based in Rosemont, Illinois, has expanded its local headquarters and established a new office in Shanghai, China, as well as two new buildings in Wuhan, China, according to a press release.
“It is an exciting time for Proteintech as we’re expanding in several of our global locations this year,” CEO and Founder Dr. Jason Li said regarding the expansion. “First in the UK, then shortly after in the U.S. and China. There is more to come with another European expansion early next year. We have laid a strong foundation for the past 20 years, now it is time for us to grow rapidly.”
The expansion in China includes two new buildings located in the Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone, both of which were designed to accelerate the product development and production of R&D. Its new office in Shanghai will focus on customer support in the eastern region of China.
In the U.S., Proteintech has increased its operations staff and laboratory space. Collectively, both expansions will result in the creation of 200 jobs. The purpose of the expansion is to accelerate the company's global growth and better fulfill the demands of the scientific community. All sites are ISO13485 and ISO9001 accredited.
Founded in 2001, Proteintech Group Inc. specializes in manufacturing processes for antibodies, proteins, nanobodies and immunoassays and owns the largest catalog of self-manufactured antibodies covering two-thirds of the human proteome. The company is credited with citing and confirming specificity for more than 200,000 products.
