Multi-location management solutions company, FranConnect, based in Virginia, has launched operations in Australia and APAC and has appointed Paul Sharpe as general manager of A/NZ, according to a press release.
"Australia has a significant franchise and multi-location sector with tremendous potential for growth," said Gabby Wong, CEO of FranConnect. "Along with our World Manager acquisition, we are thrilled to bring FranConnect's cutting-edge franchise and multi-location management solutions to Australian franchisors and businesses, enabling them to optimize their operations, increase profitability and achieve sustainable success.”
Following the acquisition of World Manager, the openings form part of the company’s efforts to expand globally, the press release stated.
In his new role, Sharpe will be tasked with executing strategies, sales, customer success, product growth and go-to-market activities in the region. He will also oversee a team of Sydney-based experts with knowledge about the local franchise industry, who will be responsible for facilitating the transition to using the FranConnect platform.
"I'm thrilled to be joining the A/NZ team," Sharpe said. "FranConnect understands the [special] challenges faced by franchisors and multi-location businesses in Australia.
"Our goal is to empower businesses with the right tools and resources to navigate those challenges successfully," he added. "We are excited to become part of the Australian franchise ecosystem and help companies achieve their growth objectives."
Before accepting his role with FranConnect, Sharpe developed his sales, product and marketing skills at Nexon, IBM, Samsung and NTT.
“Under Paul's guidance, FranConnect is well-positioned to support the dynamic franchise and multi-location ecosystem in Australia and across APAC,” the press release stated. “The company's innovative technology and robust platform empower franchisors and other business owners to streamline their operations, enhance collaboration and drive growth while providing franchisees and store managers with the tools they need to efficiently manage their businesses.”
FranConnect's slate of software includes modules for onboarding and training, operations and compliance management, lead generation and marketing and performance analytics.
FranConnect previously secured deals with Australia-based customers, including Nike, Billabong, Domino's, Nando's, Gloria Jean's Coffees, Hungry Jacks and Ben & Jerry's.
The company’s catalog of multi-location business clients will include retail chains, restaurant and hospitality chains, automotive service centers, beauty and hair salons and healthcare clinics.
It also works with other brands across the globe, including A&W Restaurants, Snap Fitness, 9Round and Viet Thai, 30% of which are based in North America.
