Druva Inc.'s new SVP: With Druva’s dedicated team 'we will help accelerate revenue and market share'

Druva Inc. has appointed Mike Houghton to the role of senior vice president of Worldwide Partners and Alliances, according to a press release.

“Channel partners are core to Druva’s success. To ensure their success, Druva focuses on providing the services, tools and leadership they need to build thriving cloud-based businesses,” Jaspreet Singh, founder and CEO, Druva, said. “We are thrilled to have in Mike a vastly experienced leader with a proven track record in building successful partner and alliance organizations. Under his leadership, we are confident that we will mature our partner ecosystem further, drive revenue growth and maintain our position as a global leader in the SaaS industry.”

Under his new role, Houghton will prioritize partnership developments, market route expansions and market share delivery through Druva's robust global slate of partners. The catalog of partners the executive will oversee includes Amazon Web Services (AWS), Dell, CDW and SHI, among various others. He will also work to leverage Druva’s Compass Partner Program, which is designed to develop and implement partnership strategies, and identify new growth opportunities. 

Before accepting his new position with Druva, Houghton served as vice president of global channel sales of Dataminr, and held various leadership roles at Cohesity, Logicalis U.S. and Avnet, where he specializes in channel partners, solutions and services provider development, as well as leveraging alliances, distribution and support divisions. A three-time CRN Channel Chief Award recipient, he has garnered 25 years of partnership development and channel experience.

Established in 2019, the Druva Compass Partner Program gathers partners, assets enablers, accreditation programs, data insights, targeted sales plays and other market resources to assist customers through their transition to a cloud-based data protection solution.

“Through these efforts, the program aims to help partners position their own business for predictable, long-term, recurring revenue,” a recent press release explains. “The Compass Partner Program has shown continued growth year on year and has enabled core partners to be able to grow their business by well over 100% annually in top-line revenues. Druva’s goal is to expand the program's scale, expanding Druva’s offerings in new markets, with new programs and expanded distribution.”
