Immutable recently made a series of new appointments, welcoming Devon Ferreira, as chief marketing officer (CMO) and David Bicknell as chief financial officer (CFO) to help leverage its presence in the gaming industry, according to a press release.
Both executives will contribute years of Web2 and Web3 company experience. The company also promoted Senior Vice President Jason Suen to chief commercial officer (CCO).
"We're thrilled to welcome Devon, who helped build Avalanche to be one of the biggest household names in Web3, onboard to supercharge Immutable's growth,” Robbie Ferguson, president and co-founder of Immutable, said. “Immutable has quietly achieved No. 1 market share in Web3 gaming over the past 12 months, with nearly $1 billion invested in games building on our platform last year. Devon will be taking this story mainstream, helping onboard thousands of game developers to Immutable and the next billion users of Web3. Together with recent hires like David, Immutable is building one of the highest talent bars in the space."
With ample marketing chief and brand building experience, Ferreira will be tasked with overseeing Immutable's marketing and brand development initiatives. News of her appointment comes soon after the company named Bicknell as CFO. Under his new role, Bicknell will be tasked with overseeing the company’s balance sheet and cash runway, as well as treasury and fundraising initiatives.
“With his invaluable financial and entrepreneurial expertise, Bicknell is poised to lead Immutable toward greater financial stability and success — empowering the company to continue delivering innovative gaming experiences,” a recent press release states.
Upon assuming his elevated role as chief commercial officer, Suen will help the company increase its adoption rate and leverage its Web3 gaming title development capabilities. Before beginning his tenure with Immutable, Suen worked at Shopify and other venture-backed startups and global scale-ups. Immutable has now onboarded more than 100 games.
Immutable continues to invest in Web3 games and allocates the largest fund amount out of any L1/L2 ecosystem worldwide after L1 Ethereum.
