Flyadeal recently renewed its agreement related to the Navitaire Airline Platform to accelerate its global digital and operational growth, according to a press release.

The airline is the first of its kind to use Navitaire's latest cloud-based solutions, designed as a platform-as-a-service (PaaS), and the first to use its latest cloud-based solutions, which are architected as a platform-as-a-service (PaaS).

“Our growth plans rely on connecting with today’s digital-first traveler,” said Con Korfiatis, flyadeal CEO. “The Navitaire platform gave us the agility and fast time to market to deliver faster initiatives along with personalized offers, and better serve the new customer fueled by data intelligence.”

A subsidiary of Saudia, the budget airline established in 2017 has now extended its services to 26 destinations in six countries, with a fleet of 27 modern aircraft, and more planes on order. Its accelerated growth is attributed to the increasing travel rate in the region as well as its successful fare bundle business model, which targets a young demographic of travelers who prefer a digital-first approach.

“We have seen the evolution of Navitaire’s platform through the years. Having such robust platform for flyadeal reinforces our commitment to grow and deliver more digital solutions to our passengers with high quality and reliability for better customer satisfaction and seamless journey,” CIO Mohannad Alsalmi said.

Surya Kuchibotla, head of eCommerce and distribution, said the latest cloud-based PaaS version of the system shows how flyadeal can lead the industry.

“Navitaire’s partnership has always been beneficial and futuristic to flyadeal,” Kuchibotla said.

Navitaire is deemed one of the first technology providers to offer its entire airline platform solution through the cloud. The platform operates in Azure and offers a faster market pace and improved operational support. The system’s extensive API suite, along with its retailing and distribution capabilities give airlines the flexibility to offer bundled or a la carte ancillary services to its customers. Its distribution strategy, including its cloud-based NDC-enabled and digital channels, makes way for connections with a wide range of industry and business partners, from online travel agencies and airlines to travel commerce companies.

“Navitaire is pleased to support flyadeal’s continuing growth plans as a leading digital-first airline in the region with our cloud-first platform that is open, digital, connected and powered by data,” said David P. Evans, Navitaire CEO. “We’re equally thrilled to have flyadeal as our launch partner for our latest cloud-native platform that is poised and ready to help flyadeal reach new heights as it delivers even more value to customers.”
