A new Real Indigo Piece Dye is a combination of the latest dye techniques and indigo dyestuff, according to Tracy Ng, sales director of Winnitex.

According to a company news release, Winnitex unveiled the new dye, which was developed earlier this year by using a combination of dyeing techniques and ECO-awarded indigo dyestuff from Dystar.

“We put together our state-in art dyeing technique and the most ECO-awarded indigo dyestuff from Dystar to create the cleanest indigo piece dyed fabric,” Ng said in the news release. “This is a remarkable development.”

According to the company’s news release, the end product is the cleanest indigo on the market, which can be used to create a vintage denim look in dyed items. The company also showed in a recent collection that by varying washing methods, different denim hues and depths can be created. The release also noted the dye’s usability in woven products is highlighted in the new collection with its varied textures, weaves and weights.

Based in Hong Kong and founded in 1964, Winnitex produces dyed woven fabrics and designs and creates seasonal clothing lines, employing more than 3,000 people worldwide.

Ng, who earned an undergraduate degree in textile chemistry from Hong Kong Polytechnic University and a master’s degree from the University of Stirling in Scotland, has been sales director of Winnitex since 1997.
