Omnicom Group Inc. recently appointed Kathleen Saxton as chief marketing officer. The newly accepted role will become effective on Jan. 1, according to a press release.

"Kathleen steps into this role with a deep understanding of the solutions that modern global clients want in order to succeed in a transformed consumer world," president and chief operating officer of Omnicom Group, Daryl Simm, said. "Her proven marketing skills will elevate our incredible agency talent and our connected client solutions that achieve better business results."

Under her new job position, Saxton will be tasked with overseeing Omnicom’s omni-channel solutions for global enterprise clients across 70 countries and promoting global growth.

Before considering her role with Omnicom, Saxton worked for MediaLink as managing director EMEA, and at Advertising Week Europe as co-founder. Before joining these companies, she ran her own talent advisory firm, The Lighthouse.

"With its iconic and creative agency networks and future-looking disciplines, Omnicom has established itself as a leader for integrated client solutions," Saxton said. "I am eager to work alongside an incredible team to orchestrate its vast capabilities to best serve clients."
