Reckitt, a British consumer goods company headquartered in Slough, England, has committed to providing the largest-ever delivery of infant formula to the U.S., according to Cision PR Newswire.

The shipment will be delivered on three UPS flights from the company’s facility in Tuas, Singapore.

“Our infant formula powder will be finished and packaged in the United States as Enfamil, a brand that U.S. consumers have known and trusted for generations, and which is the No. 1 recommended brand by pediatricians,” Cision PR Newswire said.

Over a span of the next four months, effective immediately, Reckitt will import 66 million 8-oz. servings of Enfamil formula. The contribution is the largest of its kind to ever be donated from an existing U.S. brand. Consisting of more than 418,000 pounds of infant formula base powder, the contribution is expected to help bring the country’s current infant formula shortage to an end.

The shipment is supported by various U.S. officials, including the White House, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

The products have established trust on a nationwide scale through its distribution network, which secures its exposure on retail shelves and WIC (women, infants and children) programs across the country.

“Our manufacturing facilities are operating 24/7, and we're continually looking for more ways to increase supply, while ensuring the highest levels of safety and quality,” Cision PR Newswire said.
