TrailRunner International has appointed Dubai-based executive, Marwan Abedin as senior advisor to further leverage the company’s operations in Middle East North Africa, according to a press release.

Under his new role, Abedin will be tasked with handling clients on inbound and outbound matters while overseeing the strategic communications advisory firm’s growth in the region, a recent press release stated.

Abedin has garnered more than 20 years of experience leading governments, businesses, multinational corporations, private equity funds and family offices across the Middle Eastern region.
The executive has contributed to more than $40 billion worth of transactions and the development of debt capital markets across Gulf Cooperation Council nations. Some of the issues the executive has targeted include capital allocation, debt and equity fundraising, crisis management and business growth.
The former founder and CEO of the Dubai-based financial consultancy Flatrace, Abedin also served as CEO of a private investment fund in Dubai and a board director for Noor Bank, the Dubai Health Care City Authority and Emaar Properties.
A Yale School of Management’s Global Executive Leadership and Wake Forest University graduate, Abedin currently serves as a member of the board of directors of Global Partners Property Fund I in Dubai and an advisory council member of the Middle East Institute in Washington, D.C.
