Krispy Kreme, Inc. recently named Josh Charlesworth global president and COO of the company, a press release reported.
“We are pleased to elevate Josh to this key leadership role to oversee our sustained growth of Krispy Kreme. Throughout his five years here, Josh has proven to be essential to our success as a company and I look forward to working with him on leading our core equity markets,” President and CEO Mike Tattersfield said in the release. “We have tremendous confidence in Josh’s capabilities to continue to execute on our transformation plan, grow our global fresh points of access utilizing our hub-and-spoke model and build our beloved brand around the globe.”
Reporting to Tattersfield, Charlesworth will tend to these duties until a successor is identified.
Under his new role, Charlesworth will oversee the food brand’s global equity markets, including its U.S., U.K., Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Mexico IT and supply chain teams.
The executive’s new tasks are an extension of his role as CFO, which he began in April 2017 and COO in May 2019. He served as corporate secretary from July 2018 to August 2020, according to the release.
Krispy Kreme has also confirmed its president of North America, Andrew Skehan’s departure in August of this year. The executive will go on to serve as a CEO for another company. While the company seeks his replacement, Skehan’s duties will be distributed among other knowledgeable leaders.
The organizational changes form part of Krispy Kreme’s efforts to promote growth and expand its global presence.
“We appreciate the leadership Andy has provided to the U.S. and Canada business in building an outstanding leadership team and driving growth through transforming our business in North America to an omnichannel model over the past five years. We wish him all the best in his new role,” Tattersfield said in the release.
