This month, Patrick Decker, CEO and President of Xylem, is stressing the importance of working together and in unison when it comes to affecting the future of water treatment technology.

In a press release, Decker said, "That's why one of Xylem's many ways to advance water security is to engage external stakeholders to put water first, in a variety of ways. Through this partnership, we're creating a powerful, one-stop platform for us to connect with millions of fans around the world, spark conversations about water-related challenges and how to address them - and inspire action at scale. We are energized by the opportunities ahead of us."

Other industry professionals have echoed this sentiment, saying that more positive developments in the world of water quality can be achieved if citizens, agencies, and companies are able to work together.

Roel De Vries, Chief Operating Officer of City Football Group, said, "We are delighted to be able to announce today the extension of the partnership with Xylem. Over the past four years, we have been able to successfully combine our position in football with Xylem's expertise in water education to impact large numbers of people around the world. Manchester City, NYCFC and Mumbai City, we will continue to raise awareness and change attitudes towards sustainable approaches. We look forward to continuing this work over the coming years."

Over the past few years, young community football leaders have come together in droves to increase access to safe and clean drinking water. More than 500 leaders have formed a global network that has been able to positively impact more than 20,000 children from 8 different countries around the world.
