Real estate company Harden recently broke ground on their latest commercial real estate project in Beauharnois, Quebec.
According to a press release, the $25 million Quartier Beauharnois development will include green spaces and a shopping district. The Quartier Beauharnois development is the company's second project. In 2017, the company completed its District Beauharnois project which consists of more than 150,000 square feet of leasable space.
“We are thrilled to continue our relationship with the Beauharnois community by developing Quartier Beauharnois,” Harden co-president and CEO, Tyler Harden said, according to the press release. “At Harden, supporting communities and responding to their needs has always been at the forefront of our strategy. The success of District Beauharnois coupled with the tremendous growth of the market enabled us to make this investment. It is an honor and privilege to continue building in the Beauharnois community and leave a positive legacy for all residents and visitors to benefit from.”
Mayor of Beauharnois Alain Dubuc said they welcome the new project.
“Quartier Beauharnois will increase the commercial services offered to our citizens, at a time when local economy is taking off. This type of project is part of a vision of urban vitality aimed at providing an attractive and diversified living environment for citizens and visitors,” Dubuc said, according to the press release.
Upon completion, Quartier Beauharnois will offer more than 65,000 square feet of leasable area and easy access to Highway 30. The first phase of the development is scheduled to be complete by fall of 2022 and will offer up to 20,000 square feet of leasable space. Construction on the project is scheduled to be fully complete in 2023.
