Zonos has established a new agency in Australia to promote Cross-Border Trade Proficiency.

The expansion is occurring due to the demand for cross-border calculations for duty and tax, a press release from Zonos stated.

Travis Robinson will serve as APAC general manager at the new location. The appointment was announced as China leads global e-commerce sales, according to the release.

“Australia and the Gold Coast have been truly amazing,” Robinson said, according to the release. “The only thing that has exceeded the area itself is the level of talent that has come on board. I'm excited to see the real impact our Gold Coast team makes not only for our customers but on Global Trade."

The release states that the Gold Coast was selected over a large city in Australia because it reflects the company's focus in maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

"Expanding to Australia is the next exciting step among many we are taking to build a company with great products, great people and to execute our mission to create trust and transparency in global trade," said Zonos CEO Clint Reid. "We aim to build world-class tech that can connect the world through trade."

Zonos is based in St. George, Utah.

"Zonos is the global technology leader in cross-border commerce," the release states. "The company's SaaS solutions give online retailers, marketplaces, logistics providers, trade organizations and online marketplaces the tools and services to easily scale globally, including the only true landed cost solution on the market. Zonos is helping thousands of businesses better serve their international partners and customers. Our team of industry and software experts is expanding rapidly, both locally and globally."
