A company that offers an online hub for wholesale products is expanding its global presence after opening new headquarters in Mexico.
Grovara's Feb. 16 announcement came after the company’s online sales increased by 75% in 2021, with 40% of the growth attributed to Mexico and Latin America, according to a news release from the company.
“The growth in demand for natural and organic products in Mexico has created a flurry of interest from leading retailers on our platform that stretches across LATAM,” Eugenia Schlitter, Grovara sales director, said, according to the release. “We’ve been able to deliver the best products as well as the best margins to retailers in a single solution that saves them time and headaches.”
The release said that Schlitter was promoted to sales director after gaining traction as director of the Latin American market.
"Schlitter has grown the LATAM market with strong distribution partnerships with major retailers and identifying products and categories that are most in demand in a region with rapidly shifting consumer habits," the release said. "Grovara’s international sales and support teams in the region work directly with retailers to introduce brands, negotiate pricing, and ensure logistics and fulfillment."
The company recently opened markets such as Chile, Colombia, Panama, and Peru for American brands, according to the release.
The organization hopes to help other retailers shift to digital tech- and data-driven systems, the release said.
“Working with Grovara’s team in Mexico has saved us time and money when discovering new brands and better products to build out our growing natural and organic aisles,” Arturo Lemus, buyer for Grupo La Comer, said, according to the release. “Grovara makes it easy to deliver healthy, competitively priced, and great-tasting products to our consumers.”
Grovara's release said that the company works to provide "visibility, discovery, and an intuitive user experience" and to give the user a simple transaction and management platform.
