Animal health technology company Covetrus recently announced plans to restructure its organizations in Northern and Central Europe to provide better customer service as the company opens a new headquarters and shifts its goals.
The changes are intended to improve the company’s commercial teams as they provide support to European businesses.
"These moves position Covetrus to win for our European customers and win for our global business,” Ben Wolin, president and CEO of Covetrus, said in a press release. “I have absolute confidence in our ability to drive our strategy, win back our position within the German and U.K. (United Kingdom) markets, drive greater outcomes for our customers and the animals they care for … and drive success for all our teams and stakeholders.”
The company anticipates moving its DACH headquarters from Hamburg to Düsseldorf, Germany. The new location is set to open April 1 and will be led by Dr. Andreas Tschuor.
The company's goals with these changes are to promote value creation for shareholders, improve directional efficiencies and to become a more customer centered company, according to the release. There are also plans for the company's offices to be more locally focused.
Covetrus, which was originally based in Portland, Maine, partners with veterinarians to improve the health of animals and provide better financial outcomes.
The company has over 5,500 employees and more than 100,000 customers worldwide.
