Global media conglomerate Stagwell announced Nov. 18 plans to open an office in Singapore. The opening adds to the company's robust expansion across the Asia-Pacific region, as its Global Affiliate program, represents over 90 cities in 49 Asian countries.
"Stagwell is open for business globally and I'm proud to contribute to our efforts to bring the creativity, strategic, and digital expertise of our teams to more partners in the Asia-Pacific region," future managing director Randy Duax said.
Duax, who will remain as senior vice president of executive talent until 2022, added, "I have made some of my greatest business partners – and even greater friends – in Singapore, and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to build out Stagwell's anchor in this high-growth region."
Stagwell’s presence is much more dense in North America and Europe, with 28 and 17 locations, respectively. Its influence in the Pacific is spread across several brands, including INK, National Research Group, and the MMI agency.
The executives serving under this new branch have been hired and they include Stagwell partner 72andSunny's Ida Siow and Wunderman Thompson, to president. Po Kay Lee, former head of development at SuperUnion, has been promoted to president of Forsman & Bodenfors.
Richard Brosgill, managing director of APAC and RU for Assembly said, "Our presence in Singapore, and in APAC more broadly, is only growing, making it easier to partner with our colleagues across Stagwell Media Network and Stagwell more broadly to offer clients the tailored, digital-first expertise Stagwell is known for.”
