Panda USA, a wood cabinetry manufacturer, launches a new factory in Thailand in Surat Thani, spanning over 300,000 square feet.

"With the help of Deputy Ministry of Commerce, Mr. Sinit Lertkrai, we at Panda USA were able to create this factory in Surat Thani. Manufacturing in Surat Thani guarantees that Panda USA will continue to create high quality solid wood cabinetry, at below market prices," Sean Huang, president of Panda USA, said in a press release. "We look forward to creating a mutually beneficial relationship with the Surat Thani public."

This new establishment follows other openings across Asia in China, Myanmar and Malaysia for the company, also known as Panda Kitchen & Bath. The Oct. 21 launch was celebrated at an event hosted by public officials, including Deputy Minister of Commerce Lertkrai.

A company press release describes the relationship between Surat Thani and Panda USA as a "symbiotic one." Panda will tap into the region's rich natural resources, such as rubber trees, to make quality cabinets, while the area economy gets a boost from more than 3,500 new jobs.

"The economic impact will be substantial," the release said.

Panda USA was established back in 2002 and belongs to the Huang family. Their business model aims to control manufacturing and distribution in a way that provides the best quality product to the customers at affordable prices.
