U.S.-based cybersecurity company Nisos is expanding to Belfast, Northern Ireland where it will build a software and technical center, the company recently announced in a news release.

“As we expand globally, Invest Northern Ireland has provided guidance and introduced us to talent and expertise available in Northern Ireland," the company said. "Belfast was a clear choice for our requirements, and we are excited to have it as a key piece of our international expansion. By setting up a highly specialized development center here, we will initially build a team of 15 to focus on the continued development of the Nisos Intelligence Platform."

Based in Alexandria, Virginia, Nisos clients include some of the largest internet platforms, financial services companies and consumer brands.

“It is great to welcome Nisos to our growing cluster of international cybersecurity investors," said Anne Beggs, Invest Northern Ireland's director of trade and investment. "To secure this investment for Northern Ireland, our New York team has been working closely with the company since summer 2020 to showcase all that our IT sector and wider business   environment have to offer. Nisos’ Northern Ireland center will play a major role in the company’s plans for global growth. By creating 15 roles and tapping into the skills base here, Nisos will be able to  build on its expertise in intelligence analysis and cybersecurity.”

Invest Northern Island helped Nisos secure the investment for the Northern Ireland project and "offered support towards the 15 jobs," the news release said.

The Northern Ireland Department for Economy Economic Recovery Action Plan helped fund the effort, according to the release.
