The Brattle Group, a U.S.-based consulting firm, has expanded into China with offices in Beijing and Shanghai, a news release said.

“Brattle  has been serving clients with interests in China for some time now, and our presence in this important market has continued to grow since the  addition of Dr. Vanessa Yanhua Zhang earlier this year.” the firm's president, David L. Sunding, said in a statement.

Brattle helps companies, law firms and governments with complex economic, finance and regulatory questions, the news release said.

Zang, who joined the firm in New York this year, "has extensive experience providing  rigorous analyses of monopolization, foreclosure practices, vertical  restraints, merger analysis, and intellectual property," the news release said. She also has also testified before courts in China for corporations, law firms, and governments from around the world, Brattle said.

"The China team benefits from the combination of local experience and global perspective that is a  trademark of Brattle's work," Zhang said. "While our experts deeply understand the culture and nuances of doing business in China, we also bring an international perspective to clients engaged in the Chinese marketplace. We are excited to grow in Asia and further strengthen Brattle's worldwide network of client support."

The company's new China team has experience analyzing claims related to China's anti-monopoly law and other areas of Chinese laws and regulations, according to the news release.
