Deskpass, a Chicago-based company that provides flexible work spaces, is expanding into Canada.
It is launching in the great Toronto area first and Ottawa and Vancouver later this fall, the company said in a news release.
"Our mission is to empower businesses to implement successful hybrid offices, supporting them with a work-from-anywhere solution that ultimately benefits both employers and employees," the company's co-founder and CEO, Sam Rosen, said in a news release. "We've received a warm welcome from many of the co-working alliances in Canada. With so many experienced operators on the Deskpass team, our workspace partners can tell we are committed to supporting their success."
Deskpass now operates in 29 markets and three countries. Among its clients is the U.S. federal government.
"In August, Deskpass was awarded a flex-working contract from the U.S. government, providing versatile, on-demand workspaces for federal employees," the news release said.
In Toronto, Deskpass will work with more than 30 flexible workspace companies including Workhaus and Staples Studios.
Deskpass provides desks, meeting rooms and private offices that can be rented by the hour, day, week and month.
"There's no setup or monthly fees - it's purely pay as you go," the company said.
From April to July of this year, the company saw a 10-fold increase in its corporate business as more companies chose a office-home hybrid model for employees, the company said.
