NFL superstars Patrick Mahomes and Drew Brees are among the global ambassadors behind the new digital platform VirtualStaX that has designs on revolutionizing the global fan economy.

StaX are blockchain-verified digital trading cards of talented people that can be bought, owned, and traded by supporters and fans over the Stax App.

"It all began when I saw a video of a five-year-old girl completely demolishing a group of ten-year-old boys in a street soccer game somewhere in South America" founder and CEO Rudolf Markgraaf said in a press release. "The clip had three million views. We asked ourselves, 'How can we help her monetize this exposure to fund her journey and achieve her dreams?' We are driven by philanthropy, a people-for-people philosophy."

The company's ambassadors, Mahomes and Brees, also shared their thoughts on the company in the press release.

"StaX provides the opportunity to not only share, but celebrate our moments, embrace our dreams and support each other. StaX changes the global digital marketplace forever," said Mahomes.

"I'm very purposeful and intentional with the things I get involved in" said Brees. "I believe in the transcending power that TheXchange can mean for so many young athletes, artists, and young dreamers."

South African rugby player Jean de Villiers and music executive Randy Jackson are other ambassadors for the new company, according to a press release.

Business launch comes after the Supreme Court recently ruled in favor of young athletes, opening the door for them to monetize their name and likeness.

Ninety percent of the money generated by the app will go to the talent. The app is expected to launch in late 2021.
