Chicago-based GCM Grosvenor is opening an office in Germany to help serve their Central Europe clientele.
The company is a leading global alternative asset management solutions provider with approximately $67 billion in resources.
The office will be located in Frankfurt, Germany, with Markus Koch to lead the company’s operations.
Jon Levin, GCM Grosvenor president said in a press release, that the hiring of Markus Koch, will help the company meet the needs of central European clients.
"We are thrilled that Markus has joined our team," Levin said. "With Markus and a dedicated presence, we will be better able to meet the needs of investors in the region."
Markus has over 20 years’ experience with client relationships in Europe. Prior to his appointment, he was the managing director at Prime Capital, also in Frankfurt.
The hiring of Koch marks the fifth senior business development hire the company has made since Jan. 1, 2021, and the second new office the firm has opened during that time.
GCM Grosvenor also recently opened an office in Toronto and launched its GCM Grosvenor Insurance Solutions venture.
