Forensics technology company Grayshift, LLC, announced Sept. 7 the expansion of its Asia-Pacific presence with a new office in Japan.

Grayshift is a leading provider of mobile device digital forensics that specializes in lawful access and extraction for law enforcement agencies worldwide.

"Our GrayKey technology is rapidly emerging as a critical solution for digital forensics in this region," David Miles, CEO and co-founder of Grayshift, said in a press release. "Japan is the logical place to open our APJ office and enables us to easily support current customers while expanding into other Asia markets. Moreover, we are thrilled to have Jankang's expertise to lead us to the next phase of growth."

The new office will serve as a base for regional growth and will enable the company to better support law enforcement groups in the area.

"Grayshift's strong international growth is a direct result of its innovation and integrity in digital forensics," Jankang Tao, general manager of APJ, said in the release. "I am excited to lead the growth in the APJ region and to help our law enforcement partners better serve and protect their communities."

Grayshift experienced a 107% increase in international revenue in 2020. The company also has offices in South Korea and Taiwan.
