Hard Rock Hotels has opened a new location in Madrid, Spain, in the Golden Triangle of Art, formed by three nearby art museums including El Prado.

The hotel, which opened July 1, is the newest addition to Hard Rock's international hotels, in keeping with a focus on growth in Europe, the company said in a release.

"Hard Rock Hotels has always felt very in tune with the vibrancy and spirit of Spain," Dale Hipsh, Senior VP of Hotels, Hard Rock International, said in the release. "It is one of the reasons we introduced the brand to Europe with Hard Rock Ibiza in 2014, followed by our Tenerife hotel shortly after. As our first Spanish metropolitan hotel, Hard Rock Hotel Madrid brings a distinctly different personality to our beach resorts. Our guests will discover art, music, history, culinary excellence and culture at their fingertips – all brought together through Hard Rock's curated and entertainment-infused hospitality."

The newest hotel offers 161 rooms and suites in a contemporary style, starting at 194 square feet, overlooking the garden or the lights of Madrid, the company said. There is also an additional 21,000 square feet of event space available.

Maria Font Trabocchi, a lifestyle consultant and international restaurateur, has brought her flair to the menus at Hard Rock Hotel Madrid, the company said. She is the co-owner of Fiola, Fiola Mare, Sfoglina and Del Mar in Washington, D.C. and other restaurants across the U.S.

"I am honored to be working with Hard Rock Hotels to bring my knowledge, experiences and personal take on restaurants to the capital of my home country," Font Trabocchi said in the release. "The hotel is incredibly well-located, and we are confident that it will soon become a social hub and meeting spot for residents in the city as well as visitors. The restaurants offer beautiful surroundings, the food is vibrant, and we look forward to the chef breathing his own emotion and energy into the restaurants now that the hotel is officially open."
