U.S.-based company Sparo recently expanded its operations to Europe and opened a new headquarters office at the WorldStartup's Altitude program located in The Hague, Netherlands, according to a press release.
Sparo's Purchase with a Purpose platform aims to increase higher online sales for merchants while shaping the world into a better place by bridging e-commerce with charity by allowing socially responsible online shoppers to donate a portion of their purchase to the charity of their choice during checkout.
"We're delighted to welcome Sparo to ImpactCity The Hague," Diana Eggleston of The Hague Business Agency said in a statement. "Their trademark Purchase with a Purpose is perfectly aligned with ImpactCity's motto 'Doing good and doing business.' We are privileged to support their mission to democratize charitable giving by empowering shoppers to select their favorite charity at the checkout page."
Sparo was selected to scale its Purchase with a Purpose platform for the WorldStartup's Altitude start-ups program in The Hague.
Established in 2018 by author and foreign policy expert Rob Sobhani, Ph.D and with a U.S. headquarters based in the Washington, D.C. Metro area, Sparo Corporation seeks to democratize global charitable giving.
Earlier this year, the company was selected to join the Microsoft for Startups program.
